Fish Fillets with Mushroom Sauce

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1-1/2 cups sliced cremini and button mushrooms
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon peel
  • 1 pound fish fillets

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 2 quart glass baking dish and set thyme, salt, and pepper and cook and stir for 1 minute. Add milk and sour cream; cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Remove from heat and add lemon peel.

Place fillets in prepared baking dish and cover with sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until fish is cooked and flakes when tested with fork. 4 servings
