Follow these instructions carefully to make perfect fluffy white rice.

Ingredients:
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1 cup long grain white rice (not converted or instant)
- 1-1/2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation:
In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add rice and cook and stir for 1-3 minutes, until some of the rice begins to look translucent. Add water and salt, cover saucepan, and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and cook, covered, for 14-15 minutes until rice is tender. Then turn off heat and let rice stand, covered, for another 15 minutes to steam. Fluff rice with fork and serve. Serves 4
