Crockpot Mixed Rice Pilaf

By , About.com Guide

I love the combination of wild rice with brown rice; and this easy recipe cooks away in your crockpot using just four ingredients.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 7 hours

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup wild rice
  • 1/2 cup long grain brown rice
  • 1/2 lb. portobello mushrooms
  • 10 oz. can cream of mushroom soup with roasted garlic
  • 1-1/2 cups water
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

Preparation:

Rinse wild rice and drain. Wipe mushrooms with a damp cloth, remove stems, and cut into 1" slices. Combine all ingredients in 3-4 quart crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until rice and mushrooms are tender. 6-8 servings
