Canned pumpkin is a fabulous convenience food that's really good for you. Be sure to read labels when you buy it - you want only pumpkin in the ingredient list, with perhaps some seasonings. Don't try to substitute pumpkin pie filling for canned pumpkin in these recipes because it won't work.

Pumpkin is the perfect fall food. It's rich, delicious, creamy when cooked, and can be used in breads, cookies, soups, and main dishes. Pumpkin has lots of vitamins A and C and fiber. Plus the color is gorgeous! Enjoy these easy recipes that start with canned pumpkin.
