Microwave Chocolate Crisp Bars

Linda Larsen
My Start With ... series continues with chocolate chips. Well, this doesn't exactly fit the format of starting with one ingredient and building easy meals. It's more like - you have a bag of chocolate chips, what can you make with it besides cookies?

The types of chocolate chips on the market have exploded in the past few years. Not only can you buy semisweet and milk chocolate chips, there are mini chips, peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips, white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, peanut butter and chocolate chips, and caramel chocolate chips. And Donna just wrote and reminded me about cinnamon chips! Wouldn't they be great in Oatmeal Cookies?

Stock up on all of them! Just remember to store them in a dark, cool place. If any of your dark chocolate develops a light color, don't worry - that's just 'bloom'. It doesn't affect the chocolate; it just means the chips got a little too warm sometime during their travels.

Enjoy these easy and delicious recipes.
