To make Danish Puff Coffee Cake, first gather your ingredients. You'll need 1 cup of butter, 2 cups flour, 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons water, 3 eggs, 1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla, 3 ounces cream cheese, 2 tablespoons butter, 2-1/2 cups powdered sugar, and 2 tablespoons heavy cream.

To begin, place 1 cup flour in a large mixing bowl. Cut 1/2 cup butter into pieces and add to the flour. Using a pastry blender or two knives, cut the butter into the flour until the particles are fine and even.
