Salmon Lemon Couscous

Salmon Lemon Couscous

Linda Larsen
Cook and bake up a storm for Dad's special day. Most fathers appreciate anything you do for them. Planning a meal, cooking, baking, and grilling, then serving and cleaning up will show your dad how much you appreciate him.

Include your dad's favorite foods in this special menu. Make sure you think about your skill level and only choose recipes you're comfortable with. For easy cleanup, think about making Presentation Packets, that is, one dish dinners cooked entirely on the grill. Or mix and match from these recipes and menus.

Enjoy the day!

Father's Day Dinner on the Grill

  • Glazed Grilled Steaks
Now this is the kind of recipe most dads will love! A simple but flavorful glaze tops tender steaks for the perfect combination.
  • Grilled Vegetable Kabobs
This fun side dish can be made with Dad's favorite combination of fresh vegetables. You can assemble the kabobs ahead of time, and refrigerate them until it's time to cook.
  • Grilled Cheese Bread
Three kinds of cheese make this fabulous bread really special. You can use any combination of cheese you'd like.
  • Coconut Fruit Salad
Even the littlest person can make this easy salad! Use Dad's favorite fruits.
  • Grilled Angel Food with Fruit Salsa
This healthy dish combines toasted angel food cake with sweet sorbet and a flavorful fruit salsa. Yum!

Five Ingredient Father's Day Menu

  • Salmon with Lemon Couscous
Many dads are watching their health these days. If your dad is trying to lose weight or watching his cholesterol, this is an excellent and easy recipe to serve him. And it's delicious!
  • Carrot Pineapple Freeze
This unusual frozen salad is sweet and delicious, and healthy too!
  • Popovers
Popovers are a real treat, and as long as you follow the recipe, are easy too!
  • Old-Fashioned Chocolate Dessert
After all that healthy food, have an indulgent dessert. Dad will love it.

Dad's Picnic in the Park

  • Muffuletta Sandwich
Sandwiches are really good picnic food. You can make them ahead of time, they travel well, and they're delicious too. This special recipe has a homemade olive mixture.
  • Super Easy Fruit Salad
Bring along some ice cream cones and serve this simple salad in them for a convenient and fun presentation.
  • Peanut Blossom Cookies
This fabulous classic recipe is even better when you follow my special instructions for using less flour and chilling the dough for a more tender cookie.

Make-Ahead Father's Day Breakfast Menu

  • Mock Cheese Souffle
This 'fake' souffle is like a strata, but has a lighter texture. It's easy to make and impressive to serve.
  • Apricot Bavarian
Gelatin salads are delicious and easy. Top this one with some fresh raspberries for a gorgeous look.
  • Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake
Even breakfast needs dessert! This quick bread tastes even better the next day, so make it on Saturday.
