Minute Pear Tart

By , About.com Guide

Minute Pear Tart is super quick and easy, if you have just a few ingredients on hand.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe pears, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup chopped pistachio nuts

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Slice pears and sprinkle with orange juice. Roll pastry onto a lightly floured surface into a 12" square and cut into nine 4" squares. Prick the pastry with a fork and coat each with a spoonful of orange marmalade. Fan the pear slices over the jam, arranged nicely.

Sprinkle brown sugar and pistachios over pear slices. Put the tarts on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes, until the pear slices are crisp-tender and the pastry is golden brown. Try serving these hot, with vanilla ice cream!
