The Top Ten

By , About.com Guide

So, you may think that grilled cheese sandwiches are basic and don't need a recipe. You would be wrong! Grilled cheese sandwiches can be as simple as cheese and two slices of bread. But you can use exotic cheeses, use different breads, and add fabulous ingredients to turn a sandwich into a meal. And there are certain tricks to the best grilled cheese sandwich too. First of all, butter the bread itself. Don't put butter in the skillet. That way the butter soaks into the bread. Second, cover the sandwiches as they grill to ensure that the cheese melts completely. Finally, have fun and let your imagination go wild! Have a grilled cheese tasting party with lots of breads, cheese, fruits, and veggies and give a prize for the best sammy. Enjoy!
