Roasted Turkey Thighs are easy to make for Thanksgiving dinner, and an ideal choice for those who prefer dark meat.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hour

Total Time: 1 hour, 10 minutes

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients:

  • 3 (1-pound) bone-in, skin-on turkey thighs
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage leaves
  • 1/2 cup turkey or chicken broth

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Pat turkey dry. In small bowl, combine butter, salt, pepper, garlic, thyme, and sage and mix well. Loosen skin from the meat and rub butter mixture on the meat. Smooth skin back over and rub remaining butter mixture on the skin. Place in roasting pan and pour broth around turkey.

Roast for 60-70 minutes until a meat thermometer registers 170 degrees F. Remove from oven, cover, and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
