Pasta with Caviar

Pasta with Caviar

Linda Larsen
This indulgent Valentine's Day dinner menu is very special because it uses caviar. Because the caviar is combined with so many ingredients, you don't need to buy the best - and who can afford to these days? Any black or red caviar from the grocery store will do.

The pasta is flavored with shallots, thyme, and lemon and bathed in a sour cream sauce. When you serve this beautiful pasta with roasted asparagus, a fresh and delicious salad, and a decadent peanut butter chocolate chip pie for dessert, your sweetie will remember this Valentine's Day for years!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Indulgent Valentine's Day Dinner Menu

  • Pasta with Caviar
It's very important to remove the skillet from the heat before you add the caviar, or it will 'cook' and change the flavor and texture. This really has to be served immediately, so don't dawdle!
  • Roasted Asparagus
This simple recipe is the perfect accompaniment to the rich and decadent pasta. Fresh asparagus begins to make its way into the market around this time, but if you can't find it, frozen asparagus is perfectly acceptable.
  • Spinach Blueberry Salad
Omit the blue cheese in this salad or it will overpower the delicate pasta. It's a fresh and delicious addition to this menu.
  • Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Pie
This decadent pie tastes like a peanut butter cookie, studded with milk chocolate chips, in a pie crust! Serve it warm with love.
